This 19th century lodge has been completely restored and features six rooms, all with historic charm and modern amenities. Trinity Econo-Lodge offers seven clean, comfortable, budget friendly-rooms. All locations are perfect for taking advantage of local hiking, shopping, historic sites, tours, cultural events, and culinary experiences.

Trinity Eco-Tours Lodge
Each of our six available rooms is named for the species of whales seen off the coast of Newfoundland.
All rooms at Trinity Eco-Tours Lodge are equipped with the following amenities:

Check in time is at 2:00 pm. We can hold your room with a credit card, or you can pay the full amount at time of booking.
The Bird House Residence
Welcome to our new accommodations we like to call The Bird House! Located right across the street from our main lodge, The House of Whales, still right in the heart of Trinity with rooms named aptly for the birds you may see on your Newfoundland adventures with us!
Features include:
- 5 private rooms with the choices of King, Queen and Double Beds! Some rooms even have extra sleeping space for more then 2 guests which is great for families. *added charge for more then 2 guests per room*
- Full Private Ensuite Bathrooms with Stand-Up Showers
- Daily Complimentary Breakfast at the main lodge (Seasonally Apr 15th-Oct 31st)
- Free Wi-Fi Internet
- A TV FREE experience. No televisions in this locations for a nice peaceful stay.
- Most rooms have access to shared living space in the home. *Excludes The Bald Eagle Suite*
Check-in between 2pm and 5pm at main lodge. Please call to make arrangements for late check-in's as the lodge is not staffed 24hrs.
Trinity Econo-Lodge
Choose from seven comfortable double rooms, two unisex bathrooms, three separate showers and one complete handicapped accessible shower/washroom. Daily complimentary breakfast at the main lodge.
Available May 1st to October 31st.
Cancellation Policy
Rooms are refundable 5 days prior to your arrival. If you need to cancel a 5% charge is levied for credit card refunding procedures through our online booking agent Fareharbor. We will endeavour to rent your room for the time frame you have booked, but if the room does not rent we will charge you for the unrented nights.
We do suggest travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstance.
Frequently Asked Questions
The Trinity Eco Lodge is a restored 19th-century seaside building with six rooms, each named for a whale species. A hot breakfast is included with every stay. Shannon and the team will help you plan your itinerary, recommend local restaurants and hiking routes, and make sure you have everything you need to make the most of your time on the peninsula. The lodge is two minutes' walk from the whale watching departure point, which matters more than you might think when your tour starts at 8am.
The lodge includes breakfast each morning. After tours, guests are also welcome to warm up with coffee and fresh-baked goods. For lunch and dinner, Trinity and the surrounding area has excellent options and Shannon can point you to our favourites, including the Twine Loft, Two Whales Coffee Shop, Brightside Bistro, and Port Rexton Brewery a short drive away.
Trinity has a range of excellent accommodations beyond our lodge. Options in and around the area include Rosewood Suites, Sherwood Suites, Eriksen Premises, the Twine Loft at the Artisan Inn, Fisher's Loft, and the Seaport Inn. We also operate the Trinity Rest Stop, which is a simpler option if you're looking for something more budget-friendly.
As early as you can, especially for July and August. Both the lodge rooms and the Zodiac tours fill up quickly in peak season as we take a maximum of 11 passengers per boat departure and six rooms in the lodge, so availability is limited. Guests who plan a June or July visit and leave the booking to the last minute often find limited availability. We recommend booking the same week you book your flights to Newfoundland.
